About Us

The early years of a child’s life are the magical years of your child’s early development where they naturally feel the desire and joy of movement and self-expression. Movement, dance and music are the keys to your child being healthier and happier…both now and in the years to come.
OZ TOTS is a unique and highly successful dance and music program tailored to preschoolers. Classes are divided into two age groups ranging from 3 - 5 year olds. 45-minute classes run during normal school term and feature a variety of well thought out tasks and activities tailored especially for each age group.

The program not only encourages your child to develop their coordination through music and dance. It also makes significant contributions to;
  • developing creativity
  • building social schools
  • encouraging independence
  • expressing emotion
  • stimulating mental processes
  • enhancing their physical development
  • expanding their social skills
  • enhancing body awareness
  • improving their confidence

OZ KIDS IN ACTION is the next step when your child chooses to continue with their love of dance and music. Classes for children aged 5-6 years old, in their first year of Primary School.

About Marcia

The founder and owner of OZ TOTS & OZ KIDS IN ACTION, as well as the developer of the OZ TOTS programs, is the highly experienced and gifted Marcia Lindoorn.

Marcia's experience as a dancer and teacher spans four continents and four decades. She's been successfully running her dance schools for many years. The Dance Spot Performing Arts Centre, in Sydney's busy Randwick, has been her most thriving one to date.

"My daughter loves ballet and her passion for dance can only be attributed to the environment created within the dance class. We thank you Miss Marcia for all of the above and couldn't recommend your classes more highly."

Marcia’s passion and primary focus is working with younger children. She passionately believes in the 'magical years', where children naturally feel the desire and joy of movement and self-expression.

It was this passion, skill and interest in working with young children that inspired her to develop
OZ TOTS. For the last 10 years it has grown and prospered and over hundreds children have experienced the joy of dance and music with Miss Marcia.

Following many requests from parents who loved witnessing their children grow with OZ TOTS 1 (age 3-4) and OZ TOTS 2 (ages 4-5), Marcia developed OZ KIDS IN ACTION (ages 5-6). This program offers children the ideal next step to help them pursue their love of dance and music as they move into primary school and beyond.

“My priority has always been to bring out the best in each individual child. While the program has a focus on coordination and self-confidence, we also have an equally strong focus on the eight key principals of early childhood development. We use a gentle, encouraging approach in a fun, loving and creative environment. It’s this carefully crafted approach that allows the children to blossom throughout the program so they look forward to every class. Your children are truly the most precious gift and they deserve the gift of dance and music at an early age." says Marcia.

"I think you are an incredible person, Marcia, to teach and organise these little people. It can't be easy! Congratulations on producing a truly remarkable concert every year with fabulous costumes and no visible stage fright! What a confidence builder."
